My Top Ten Worst Harry Potter Characters #1: Peter Pettigrew

Peter Pettigrew also known as Wormtail is one of the biggest traitors in fiction. 

He grew up in Hogwarts as best friends with Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, and James Potter. 

He even joins the Order of the Phoenix, and defects to Death Eaters after Voldemort tries to kill him. He tells Voldemort the location of the Potters, and frames Sirius Black for murder. 

He later becomes a rat for years. 

But gets found out. 

He escapes, kills Cedric Diggory, and revives the Dark Lord. 

He is rewarded by being nothing but a servant to Severus Snape, and other Death Eaters. Then he chokes himself. Thank god. 

My Top Ten Worst Harry Potter Characters #2: The Dursleys

Harry's near-criminal Muggle family were all pretty annoying. 

Especially the fat and spoiled Dudley. 

Too bad for him when Harry learned of his Wizard powers. 

He also goes to some gay private school. 

Then later starts his own gang. 

Then we also have the retardedly awful Aunt Marge. 

Then we also learn than Petunia didn't hate Wizards because she considered them "freaks", she hated her sister because she was jealous of her abilities. She even wrote Dumbledore, begging to take her into Hogwarts. 

My Top Ten Worst Harry Potter Characters #3: Gilderoy Lockhart

Gilderoy Lockhart became the Defence Against the Dark Arts Teacher during Harry's 2nd year. 

He was originally a Ravenclaw. 

He later used his talents to achieve fame, sell books, and boast about how good he was. 

He later tries to boast how awesome he was to Harry, and to help Harry on his future "career" of bullshit. 

He later gets busted for lying by Harry and Ron, and tries to back-stab them and in return his plan backfires and his memory is wiped. 

I liked seeing his return in Order of the Phoenix, recovering at St. Mungos with the mind equal to a child. 

My Top Ten Worst Harry Potter Characters #4: Moaning Myrtle

Myrtle was a muggle-born witch killed by Tom Riddle Jr.'s new pet snake, compliments of his great-great something granddaddy. The first person known to have died by either direct or indirect hands of Voldemort.

She later haunts the bathroom crying like a bitch. 

She's also a pervert. She spies on the boys in their bathrooms. 

My Top Ten Worst Harry Potter Characters #5: Argus Filch

The Squib caretaker was always a prick.

He gave a hissy fit when his kitty cat got scared. 

He also helped Umbridge turn the school into Nazi land. 

They at least met some resistance from Fred, George, and Peeves. 

My Top Ten Worst Harry Potter Characters #6: Percy Weasley

Despite being a Weasley, Percy was a prick. He became a prefect in Harry's first year and later Head Boy. 

He later gets a job at the Ministry of Magic as Barty Crouch Sr.'s boy toy, or at least in his dreams. 

And when old Barty met his end to the hands of his own child, Percy remained loyal to Fudge, and back-stabbed Harry and his own family. 

Even after seeing Voldemort's return and the resignation of Fudge, Percy still played the game of loner. It wasn't until the end of the final book, where he gets some sense and joins the fight against Voldemort. 

My Top Ten Worst Harry Potter Characters #7: Kreacher

Kreacher was a bitch. The slave house-elf had to obey Sirius and later Harry, even though he was loyal to the more pure-blood loving parents of Sirius. 

He later gets sent to the kitchen of Hogwarts and Dobby becomes his best buddy. Well not really. 

I sort of like Kreacher, but in the ironic sort of way. Like when he fights off Death Eaters in revenge for the death of Regulus Black. 

My Top 10 Worst Harry Potter Characters #8: Pius Thicknesse

This guy is nothing but a tool of Voldemort, though he was strong enough to repel a couple of shots of the Imperius Curse. 

Though he does gets what's coming to him during the Battle of Hogwarts by getting his ass handed to him by a group of gingers. 

My Top 10 Worst Harry Potter Characters #9: Pansy Parkinson

Never liked this cunt. 

Mainly one of Draco's gang members. I guess J.K. Rowling needed a girl to break up their sausage-fest. 

Her main job was to mock and sneer at Harry. Well done I suppose, she also tried to persuade the Hogwarts staff and students to turn on Harry and give him up to Voldemort. Fuck her.
