Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception PS3 Bundle Coming November 1st

$299 will get you a PS3, a copy of Uncharted 3, one controller, and one month membership to PlayStation Plus. Not bad, I might think about this.

You Won't Be Playing PSVita For Very Long (Until You Have to Charge It)

Apparently the word out of the Tokyo Game Show is that Sony's new handheld won't even go as far as 4 hours of gameplay before the battery dies. Granted that's about the same as the 3DS.

Fact of the Day: CDs are Old

Even though Music CDs didn't become popular and afforable enough until the late 80's to 90's, the technology was first used in 1976 when Sony showed off how a CD works.

Monster Hunter 4 Coming to 3DS

While the first couple of Monster Hunter games were enjoyed only by people who bought Sony products, Nintendo quickly took notice and helped bring the series over to their turf. It doesn't mean much to Americans, but in Japan it's like their Halo or Call of Duty. It's what the high school boys play when they're out of school. It's hard to believe that Sony let this slip out of their fingers so easily.

Fact of the day: Phillips CD-i

The Phillips CD-i was one of the worst consoles ever made. It came to light after a failed deal with Nintendo to produce an add-on drive for the Super Nintendo after another failed deal with Sony. Oddly enough Sony did help Phillips produce some CD-i consoles along with Magnavox. The whole Nintendo deal gave them the temporary right to produce games of Nintendo characters which they did and they turned up being the worst games ever made.

PS3 Price Drops to $250

The Playstation 3 will now drop to $250 dollars, and should be effective very very soon. Look at the price tag, before you check out at the counter.

Croc: Legend of the Gobbos Review

I remember having a demo of it as a kid, but never got the chance to play the full-version until recently.

I suppose this game came out before the PlayStation had analog sticks. It's a full 3-D game like Super Mario 64, but I think they should of tried some fake 3D levels like Crash Bandicoot for one reason and one reason only.

That reason is that the controls are terrible. Croc walks like he just came out of a late-night bar, and there's no way you'll be able to do some of the platforming in this game. I like the short-stages and objectives, though some of it's just mindless collecting of stuff that doesn't matter.

It gets some respect for boldness, but tons of hate for it's execution of ideas. This could have been so much more if they hadn't tried to stress the hardware limitations of the system...or should I say controller.

Score: 3 out of 10

Twisted Metal PS3 Delays To 2012

The PS3 Twisted Metal will have fans waiting until next year after the promise of an October release.

PSVita Won't Reach U.S. or Europe Until 2012

Playstation Vita is going to be a no-show this holiday season for the Western World. Which will make Nintendo and their 3DS system very happy. No plans to drop the $250-$300 price even with Nintendo's news of their own price drop.

Sony Acquires Sucker Punch

Even though the Sly Cooper and Infamous developer has been Sony-only for years, they finally be bought out by the mother company today. Not much is going to change for them though.

They only had 1 game outside Sony systems and that was the 1999 N64 game Rocket: Robot on Wheels.

Things I Hate: Twisted Metal 3

I remember being really hyped for this game to come out. For some reason I had a feeling not to buy it. I remember going to Toys R Us and about to check out and then putting it back on the shelf.

I then played it at my friend's house and it was a big piece of turd.

I don't remember too much about it, but it was one of the first disappointing sequels to me.

Things I Like: Twisted Metal 2

The original was good, but this game was even better.

Even though the game has probably aged a real good bit, it was amazing for it's time. Good ol blowing up fun, with lots of secrets.

I really liked the character bios with their own unique stories and backgrounds.

The endings were funny too, worth playing the game multiple times with every character.

Parasite Eve II Coming to PSN?

The original game is already on the service, and the sequel is on the ESRB website with a PSN rating. So expect this one soon.

Things I Like: Twisted Metal

An oldie but a goodie from the PS1 days.

Had pretty fun gameplay, and a great single player mode.

The versus mode was also pretty fun. My brother and I used to play it constantly.

Sony's PSP2/NGP May Be Called Vita?

Rumors are coming up because of this sub-domain. Frankly they just need to call it PSP2.

My Top Ten PlayStation 2 Games #7: Jak And Daxter: The Precursor Legacy

Before the series went all dark and emo, Jak and Daxter gave Sony fans a title with the same class and charm as Nintendo gave gamers with Super Mario 64 or Sega with Sonic Adventure.

Though he didn't have much besides jumps and physical attacks, I enjoyed the platforming a lot better than the 2nd game.

There was also a lot of to do and explore in Jak and Daxter too. My only complaint is that I got stuck on a mission and didn't get to finish it.

My Top Ten PlayStation 2 Games Honorable Mention: Sly Cooper And The Thievius Raccoonus

Even though it didn't take off like Jak or Ratchet did, this is still one of the fan-favorites for a lot of Sony fanboys.

This game was sort of a mix of Jak and Daxter meets Metal Gear Solid/Splinter Cell.

It defaintly had it's own style and the cel-shaded graphics were only outclassed by Wind Waker during that console generation. I just wished I liked stealth games more often.

My Top Ten PlayStation 2 Games #8: Jak II

While Daxter got dropped from the title, he did stay an important part of the storyline.

Though Jak has taken a more darker tone, with him and Daxter in a new world of facist rulers and cities with oppressed people.

The game-play focuses less on platforming now, and instead opts for a more action-based combat system. Pretty good stuff, though this game can get annoyingly hard.

PSN Finally Coming Back By End of the Month

It's going back piece by piece, but it will all be finally up and running by the end of the month. Buy those PSN cards next time.
