My Top 10 Worst No More Heroes Characters #9: Ermen Palmer

He was just some dude that tried to kill Travis at the end of the first game. Instead Henry Cooldown slices him in half before he gets the chance.

He's actually an ode to some character from the GameCube game Killer 7.

Resident Evil 4 HD Now Available on PSN Store

It's 20 bucks, which might be hard to swallow for just another re-release of the GameCube classic.

It will probably be the best looking game in the series. The cell phone version on the other hand not so much.

Things I Like: Spider-Man (2002 PS2/Xbox/Gamecube Video Game)

I really liked the movie, and the video game was pretty sweet as well.

The game played mainly like the one made in 2000 for N64, PS1, and Dreamcast. Except with the movie's story, and a few new additions.

I thought the non-canonical villain fights were pretty good. Even the indoor fights were pretty cool.

It really shows how well a game based on a movie can be if the developers are paid well enough to make something decent.

My Top Ten Mario Spin-Offs #7: Mario Kart: Double Dash

I really liked Double Dash, it was really my first Mario Kart since the original.

I really liked the 2-racer concept. Can't believe it was pretty dropped from every other future installment.

It had really fun multiplayer too, it's a shame that it has such a little number of tracks to compete on.

Regardless, it might have some flaws, but I played this game to death. I'm glad to see at least some track make a return in future Mario Karts under the Retro tracks.

My Top Ten Mario Spin-offs #8: Mario Party 4

I didn't attend many of Mario's parties, but I did happen to be invited to his 4th bash.

The objective of Mario Party is really just a virtual game-board. You go around trying to collect as many coins and stars as possible.

The main way to win is to play well at the mini-games. I thought most of them were pretty good.

Granted you need to have real people playing with you to make the experience better. Still love this game though.

Things I Like: Wario World

I rented this game a LONG time ago. Such a overlooked gem, it was actually made by Treasure, the folks behind Gunstar Heroes and Sin and Punishment.

It really wasn't anything like Treasure has done before. It was more beat-em-up than shoot everything.

I really liked the combat of the game. Reminded me a bit of Double Dragon meets Smash Bros. I suppose. There was a lot of useless stuff to find and collect in the game.

If you ever find yourself an old copy, give it a try. I doubt you will regret it.

My Top Ten Mario Spin-Offs #10: Luigi's Mansion

Luigi's Mansion was a bittersweet treat for Nintendo fans. Our new GameCube was here and unlike every other Nintendo console before it, a major Mario game was nowhere to be found. Nintendo instead gave us a rather goofy spin-off to satisfy us until Smash Bros. Melee got here.

Granted a game about Luigi being scared to death doesn't sound exciting in the slightest bit of the imagination. However it was a decent idea, just came out at the wrong time. Even the Ghostbuster-style vacuum cleaner didn't do enough to suck the dirt off of the GameCube's crappy reputation among angry video game nerds.

I actually liked the game-play of sucking up ghosts. Sure it was probably too easy and a bit silly, but I had my fair share of fun with it.

I just hated when the game turned into a crappy fetch-quest. I hope when Nintendo releases Luigi's Mansion 2 for 3DS that things might be a little better.

Things I Like: StarFox Assault

I hated the hell out of StarFox Adventures, but I managed to enjoy my time with StarFox Assault. Is it the greatest StarFox ever? Hahaha no, but it was gold compared to the game that preceded it.

Instead of being a Zelda clone, StarFox Assault puts you back into the Arwing full-time. Most of the missions are fairly decent, but they don't hold a candle to StarFox 64.

The tank parts were okay, I just wished it wasn't so bulky to drive.

The on-foot sections are perhaps the game's biggest fault. They're not "bad", but it just makes me wonder what were they thinking. I like the idea of variety, but if it's going to be this lackluster then they shouldn't have let me out of my Arwing.

I also enjoyed playing the multiplayer mode. Had some good moments against my brother in this one.

My Top Five Mario Platformers #3: Super Mario Sunshine

I was surprised so many Mario fans gave this game such a backlash. I don't know if they were bitter that it was quite a bit more unique than Super Mario 64, didn't like the tropical setting/jetpack, or were on the Gamecube hate-train. I just know one thing: I wasn't one of those people. Super Mario Sunshine is one of my favorite games of all time.

It put Mario in a dratistically different setting, with him being sent on a vacation. Except this vacation forced him into eco-fascist slavery because he got framed by Bowser's little brat. I really liked the tropical setting, though I do admit it did get a little old after awhile.

I did like the F.L.U.D.D. or as most people knew it as the water jetpack. It had a couple of different uses, and I thought it made the platforming and combat a bit better than other Mario games.

I was glad to see Yoshi make a glorious return in Sunshine as well. I liked this version of Yoshi better than Super Mario Galaxy 2 or Super Mario 64 DS. He played like a vomiting version of himself from Super Mario World.

Even though it's an odd choice for some people, I'm not ashamed of my love for Sunshine. One of the best titles for the GameCube, and certainly one of best Mario games period. Don't hate, appreciate!

My Top Five Zelda Games #2: The Wind Waker

Even though hate for this game built up, it was only until we got to play it for ourselves that more people started to enjoy it.

I thought the cel-shaded graphics were a great choice for the ocean-based game-play. I couldn't imagine the game with a Twilight Princess style of graphics.

It was far enough away from Ocarina to feel special, but closer than Majora to feel like a traditional Zelda experience. So it was like having the best of both worlds. Granted the Baton of the Wind wasn't as cool as your Ocarina of Time.

I though they really improved the combat as well. So many types of foes, and they even fought each other to get to you. Now that's sweet!

I kinda regret not taking advantage of my Action Replay so I could access the secret test areas. Even though they looked kinda weird and possibly broken.

I know a lot of Zelda fans put this game a lot lower on their lists, but I played this multiple times even with the camera-taking and I even used the Tingle Tuner GBA accessory. It's a fun quest of mystery and wonder, and I loved every single moment of it.

Things I Like: Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition

I loved Resident Evil 4 on Gamecube, and I couldn't wait for the Wii version.

The new Wii controls are much easier than the Gamecube ones. It's pretty easy to move around, and aim freely. However Capcom thinks so too, so they added more enemies to make the game tougher. I like my cakewalks Capcom!

Even the interactive cut-scenes have Wii controls in mind. They work fairly well.

Plus all the content from the PS2 version is available on the Wii disc, which makes this really the best version to have.

Things I Like: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Despite being "disappointing" I still really loved Twilight Princess.

The horse-riding combat was pretty sweet, but didn't get used to it's full potential.

I didn't like Wolf-Link that much. Way too weak.

I liked the bow combat. There was this whole shoot-out scene in the game I thought was pretty epic.

I liked the new knights in the game. Very fun to battle against.

The boss fights were pretty good, though some were defiantly forgettable.

I won't forget how Zant was so lame. Terrible villain.
