Things I Hate: Marble Madness (NES)

I've heard great things over the years, but I got the chance to play it recently and I think it's pretty overrated.

On a technical issue, it was an amazing feat for it's day. One of the only NES games to show any real amount of realistic physics.

However the controls are pretty awful which means that you'll never reach your goal because of a stiff D-pad on the harder levels.

Things I Hate: Lunar Pool

Despite the awful looking cover, it isn't that bad of a game, just a bit aged. I loved it as a kid, but now I find it a bit boring.

Don't be fooled though, this game is not pool. It's mini-golf with a pool hat on.

Each one of the levels is really just a different shaped pool board. Neat idea, maybe someone should make a more modern version of it on the downloadable services.

Things I Hate: Rocky Balboa

I loved most of the Rocky movies but this rubbed me the wrong way.

Rocky's world is now so depressing that it's not very enjoyable.

The fight against Mason Dixon was alright, except that "the other guy won because of points" bull-crap.

Things I Hate: Donkey Kong Jr. Math

Man this was a bad idea from the start. I actually played this as an easter egg inside Animal Crossing. Why they included the awful math game instead of the original (unless I didn't find it) I'll never know.

I know they wanted to teach kids math problems and such, but even these basic problems are a struggle. Not because the math is hard, but it takes a long and boring adventure just to gather what you need to solve a problem.

Things I Hate: Donkey Kong 64

I remember letting my friend borrow Pokemon Stadium for this, and then he moved so I got stuck with his crap.

At first it seems like Rare wanted to do what Nintendo did with Mario. Take the SNES game and warp it into a fully-3D game.

They even added multiple characters you could play as too. Diddy and some other Kongs I can't remember are at your disposal and they all have their own abilities.

However the game gets pretty boring when it resorts down to "Find bananas, collect bananas, find more bananas, collect even more bananans" and then it just becomes a fetch-quest. It had some decent ideas, but this Rare game was way too over-hyped and overrated.

Things I Hate: Metal Gear (NES)

I only heard about this after Metal Gear Solid got huge. I had the sudden urge to find a copy, and man was I disappointed.

For what it's worth, it's pretty similar to it's 3D sequels for an NES game anyway. Solid Snake sneaks around, shoots stuff, and smokes cigarettes.

The only problem with that is that's it's pretty hard to sneak around in an NES game. There's a thin line between sneaking and getting caught red handed. It's pretty brutal when it comes to forgiveness.

Plus the game is inferior to the MSX original (Japan only) with different levels and worse graphics. There wasn't even a Metal Gear, the final boss was a super computer. Yeah, that's scary.

Things I Hate: Avatar: The Last Airbender

Saw a little when it first came out. Just too kiddy for me. Also just loathe the art style of it.

Things I Hate: Joey

The TV series seemed like a decent idea, but without his "Friends" Joey was nothing.

The side characters were pretty lame like his sister who's made many mistakes in her love life.

And her nerdy son who can't get girls. LOL.

His neighbor Alex was kinda hot, but besides that I don't remember much.

Things I Hate: Nights: Journey of Dreams

This one came out of nowhere since the original game came out at least a decade before it and the poor-selling Sega Saturn.

Speaking of Nights Into Dreams, I never did play the game. I've heard some legendary things, however I kinda wondered what was so great about flying through a bunch of rings.

I don't know if Journey of Dreams is a true sequel or not, but it has rings I guess.

Besides flying through rings, there really isn't much else to do. It's not a bad game through technical means, however it's just plain boring and vanilla. If the Sega Saturn "classic" is about as good, then it's one of the most overrated games of all time.

Things I Hate: Clemson Tigers

I've never liked Clemson one bit.

Their school colors are ugly as sin.

Their fans are also pretty annoying. But are fun to watch when they lose a big game.

Though I admit there's some things I like about Clemson.

Things I Hate: Rubik's Cube

I never liked these things, and I was too young to be caught up in the super-hype when they first started becoming popular in the 80's.

Things I Hate: Twizzlers

I've tried this candy so many times over the years.

No matter how many times I taste it, it's still terrible.

Things I Hate: Clip-on Ties

They're not necessarily bad, however they do make you look like a dork if you get caught wearing one.

Things I Hate: Sour Skittles

I really can't understand the people who like Sour Candy. It's nasty and makes your mouth painful.

They are absolutely covered in sourness powder, and you couldn't pay me to eat these.

Things I Hate: Tea

Since I was a child, I could never ever stand the taste of tea. Haven't tried Green Tea, but I kinda don't want to. My girlfriend had gotten a cup from a restaurant we had just been to, and about an hour later I got thirsty and took a sip. Man was I wrong when I thought she ordered Dr. Pepper.

My hate for tea is a bit just as well, since I can't stand the tea bagger traitors.

Things I Hate: Boxers

It may look good on yourself, but I don't like the old-school boxers on comfort. Especially the cheap ones.
