Fact of the Day: 17th Amendment

Before the 17th amendment, the State House would elect our Federal Senators. There's actually a huge group of moronic conservatives who believe the 17th amendment should be repealed. Their reasoning? A whole bunch of crap about state's rights. Taking democracy away from the people? Sounds shitty no matter which way you look at it. 

Fact of the Day: Win War, Lose Power

Winston Churchill was one of the greatest wartime leaders in history. However support for him might of been high, but his party lost the majority in the general elections. Thus costing him his role as Prime Minister. 

He was replaced by Clement Attlee of the Labour Party. 

Oslo Bomber/Shooter Was a Right-Wing Fundamentalist Christian

Anders Behring Brevik was the sole man who killed all those people in Norway. He was economically libetarian, ultra-social conservative, and hated "Marxists", and Muslims. He killed mostly members of Norway's ruling Labour Party which promotes immigration, and social democracy. He was actually a prominent member of Norway's racist Progress Party for quite some time. He apparently saved up to have a escort before the shooting, because apparently that was the Christian thing to do.
