Woman Jailed For Five Years For McDonald's Beating

I remember blogging about this soon after the crime happened. Teonna Brown was arrested after beating Chrissy Lee Polis simply because she was transgendered. The beating left Polis in critical condition, and there is video of her going into a seizure. In court Brown said this 

               -"I'm sorry. My mother did not raise me like this,"

My Day Yesterday: Halloween and Thanksgiving in September

Woke up early again to get up for work. It was alright, my boss wasn't there so we getting our department in order wasn't too hard. 

Went to McDonald's again for breakfast. There really the only fast food chain near my work open for breakfast, so I didn't have much of a choice. I love biscuits!

Picked up my girlfriend and we went to Halloween Spirit. Pretty good store, lots of prop costumes and whatnot. Saw a lot of outfits I wished my girlfriend would try on. We also went to see if Halloween Express is open, and they weren't just yet. Party City didn't have much Halloween junk ready just yet. I guess they're still trying to get rid of all their summer stuff. 

After that we went home and watched Anywhere but Here. 

And a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving copy she found at the library. Why September of all times to watch it? I guess she was just in a Peanuts mood. 

Also had to drive home in the intense rain. Fun times...

My Day Yesterday: Up and Early For Work

Woke up really early today to start a super-early shift at work. 

Work sucked. 

But I was able to get a good biscuit at McDonald's on break. I love breakfast. 

Then I went home and watched Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. 

Also found out I was out of soda, so I had to get my mom to get me some on sale near her work before she came home. I was too tired to do it myself. 

Found out the next game Blockbuster is sending me will be Dead Rising 2. Didn't come in the mail today, so that means on Tuesday I will get it. Stupid labor day. 

Also watched my copy of Semi-Pro. 

And now it's time to go night night for yet another early day......

My Day Yesterday

Woke up really late again, on my day off. Sigh... another day wasted. 

I changed my contacts today. Feel asleep with my old pair on, and when I woke up in the middle of the night I took them off (it was past due time to change them) and just tossed them on my table. By the time I got up in the late morning I felt them hard as a rock. 

I did have enough time to watch Scott Pilgrim vs the World. Pretty decent movie. 

Picked up my girlfriend and we went to the library. 

Checked out the Iron Man movie. Haven't seen it before. 

We went to Wendy's for lunch. She prefers McDonald's but I hate that place. 

I couldn't avoid taking her to Wal-mart which I also loathe. Though we did go to other places like Bi-Lo and the Dollar Tree. 

Bought some new razors at Bi-Lo today. They had a big pack of old spice razors on closeout. I have an electric razor but it sometimes never gets close enough. 

Before the night was over we finished the whole series of Bamboo Blade. Pretty good anime, though very short. 

Woman Buys Fake iPad, Turns Out To Be a Block of Wood

A woman in Spartanburg, SC was approached by two guys in a McDonald's parkinglot probably about to go buy a case of Chicken Mcnuggets, and they asked her if she wanted to buy an iPad or a laptop computer. The men said they buy them in bulk, so this lady haggles them down from about $300 to $180, and thinking she made a good buy came home to open her box to find a piece of wood. It was at least sorta made into an iPad.
