Watched The Nightmare Before Christmas

Watched this with my girlfriend last night. I've seen it before but she hasn't.

The story is about Jack Skellington who is the hero of Halloween Town, a place where it is Halloween-ish all year round. He grows bored and stumbles upon Christmas town in which he falls in love with. He wishes to spread Christmas cheer to the residents of Halloween Town, even the bad ones.

Seeing the contrast between the two worlds was pretty awesome.

And they throw a decent love story in there.

It's got interesting characters, memorable moments, wonderful songs, and it's still visually appealing. Such a classic movie, and probably the only movie that you can watch for both Christmas and Halloween and not feel weird.

My Day Yesterday: Zombies, and Nightmares Before Halloween

Woke up and played a bit of Dead Rising 2 for the first time, before I had to pick up my girlfriend from work.

We went to several Halloween stores to look around. I think she's going to get a Harry Potter costume robe this year.

I also bought a new bluetooth headset while we were at the mall. I'm not one of those fools who talk with it everywhere, I use it in the car and around the house.

Then we went back to my place and she saw The Nightmare Before Christmas for the first time.

My Day Yesterday: Halloween and Thanksgiving in September

Woke up early again to get up for work. It was alright, my boss wasn't there so we getting our department in order wasn't too hard.

Went to McDonald's again for breakfast. There really the only fast food chain near my work open for breakfast, so I didn't have much of a choice. I love biscuits!

Picked up my girlfriend and we went to Halloween Spirit. Pretty good store, lots of prop costumes and whatnot. Saw a lot of outfits I wished my girlfriend would try on. We also went to see if Halloween Express is open, and they weren't just yet. Party City didn't have much Halloween junk ready just yet. I guess they're still trying to get rid of all their summer stuff.

After that we went home and watched Anywhere but Here.

And a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving copy she found at the library. Why September of all times to watch it? I guess she was just in a Peanuts mood.

Also had to drive home in the intense rain. Fun times...

My Day Yesterday

About as soon as I woke up this morning I get a call from my girlfriend. A company asked her to go get an interview and she got hired. She starts this morning actually. I wish her the best of luck.

I'm actually trying to get a new job myself. The job hunt starts again tomorrow.

Found out where the Halloween Express will be in my town this year. I can't wait until it opens.

Also played Tennis and Ice Hockey for NES, and reviewed them both.

Also found my lost pair of headphone buds. Now I can listen to my iPod Touch again.

Blockbuster By Mail also sent me Batman Arkham Asylum for 360 right before I went to work. I wish my house wasn't so dead last on the postal route :( Oh well....

My Day Yesterday

I thought I'd start doing this now, for readers to get to know me a little, and for time keeping records for myself.

Yesterday I helped out a group of friends for our local Democratic party at a college fair event. We had a little table, and had a few people sign up. Parking was terrible, most places were only for students and teachers, so it was a headache trying to find a place to park that would not land me a ticket. Had a good time, even though I got sunburned. So much free stuff too, even Papa Johns gave us free slices of Pizza. Luckily thanks to clever planning, I was able to get 2 slices and 1 for my girlfriend.

After that we went to the mall and Costco to look around. While my girlfriend was shopping at JCPenny I decided to get her birthday present from Things Remembered. It will be available tonight, but I will probably have to wait a day to get it since I'll be working.

We also went looking at animals at the humane society and Petsmart. She wanted to see if they had a Husky dog and we finally found one, but it was kinda a mutt husky. We weren't looking to adopt anything, she's just wants one when we're married. I just went because I like seeing all the doggies and puppies.

Also stopped by Party City, which is finally starting to put their Halloween stuff up. I miss Halloween already, can't wait to see some more of them. Also saw a new halloween store being put together near it, so I'll have another place to look around.

After a long day, we went home and watched a little bit of Bamboo Blade. Pretty decent anime, very cute and funny. Looks great on my HDTV.
